Studio Blog 07 / by Ilyssa Harrington

This week in the studio I continued a painting that I completed for my Painting II class. In this painting I am exploring how the world sees me and how I see the world.

I really enjoy the movement and rhythm in this painting.

Projection

I love projecting onto my painting so that I can focus on my gesture and have the structure and proportions be correct.

As I painted I focused on the overall painting and how I reacted to the descions I made. It is important for me to paint with a abundance of gesture and a fair amount of accuracy.

This week I was inspired by Jenna Alexander Studio

I love how there are pops of color in this figure and there is mark making in the flesh tones.
